About the Faculty Board
Mandate of the Faculty Board
The Faculty Board sets the strategy for the faculty's education and research activities and other academic activities, and develops plans for academic development in line with the goals set by the University Board.
The Faculty Board sets targets and performance requirements, and is responsible for ensuring that the faculty's financial resources are used in accordance with the provisions established by the University Board.
The Faculty Board oversees the dean's management of the organisation. The board may issue instructions to the dean.
The Faculty Board reports to the University Board on the faculty's activities in the manner determined by the University Board. This includes an annual report on the faculty's financial status, a statement on the results of its activities, and a proposed budget for the coming year.
The Faculty Board also processes and decides on matters delegated from the University Board, and may ask to have any matter brought before it. The Faculty Board may delegate its authority to the dean, to the departments, or to other bodies at the faculty, unless otherwise determined by law, regulation, or decision of the University Board.
The Faculty Board itself shall process and decide on all matters of principal or significant importance.
