Quality assurance system at Odontologen

To ensure that you receive high-quality treatment and that all activities are carried out safely, Odontologen has documented its working procedures. This is known as the Quality Assurance System and consists of manuals, procedures, and forms that all staff and students are required to follow.

A written system for internal control and quality assurance is mandatory for teaching clinics pursuant to Section 3 of the Norwegian Health Supervision Act and Section 2 of the Regulations on Management and Quality Improvement in the Health and Care Services. The clinic must have a management system that describes how its activities are planned, carried out, evaluated, and improved in line with the requirements set out in health and care legislation and related regulations.

The individual components of the Quality Assurance and Management System are updated in accordance with the annual planning cycle. The Head of Department, the Head of Clinic, and the Section Heads are responsible for this process and may delegate tasks to other staff as appropriate. The annual cycle also includes an annual clinic report, in which the department reports on the previous year's activities in accordance with the reporting requirements in force at the time.

3. Form and procedures

Each specialty section, together with the Qualification Programme and the Specialist Training Clinic, maintains its own internal collection of forms and procedures. In addition, the Dental University Clinic (Odontologen) has shared general procedures and hygiene procedures that apply to all sections.
