Complaint Handling at Odontologen
Complaints from patients are handled in line with Norwegian law.
Patient complaints are handled in accordance with Norwegian legislation. Patient complaints are processed in accordance with the Norwegian Patient and User Rights Act (external link) and the Public Administration Act (external link).
If you have questions regarding your right to file a complaint or the complaint process, you may contact the Main Reception in person at Årstadveien 19, by telephone at +47 55 58 66 00, or by email at pasient@uib.no.
Patients who wish to submit a complaint may do so by sending a letter to the relevant clinic, submitting the complaint in person at the reception desk, or by email. If you choose to submit your complaint by email, the response will be sent by regular mail to ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements, as the clinics are not permitted to transmit sensitive personal information by email.
In addition to a description of the matter being complained about, the complaint should include the patient's (and, where applicable, the guardian's) name, national identity number, and contact details, including postal address and telephone number.
Patients and their relatives are entitled to assistance in formulating and submitting a complaint if they wish. A complaint may relate to any aspect of the patient's experience. For example, it may concern the examination or treatment provided, the type of treatment offered, communication and interaction with the student or supervisor, the conduct of the student or supervisor, or other related matters.
