Work Clothing at Odontologen

Odontologen at the University of Bergen (UiB) follows the Professional Recommendations for Infection Control in Clinical Dental Practice. These recommendations were developed by the Universities of Oslo, Tromsø and Bergen in collaboration with the Decontamination Competence Centre at Oslo University Hospital (OUS), the Norwegian Dental Association (NTF), the Norwegian Directorate of Health, and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health.

Rules for everyone in the Skills Training Center and the Clinics

  • All work clothing belongs to Odontologen and is loaned to staff and students. 
  • Staff and students must wear work clothing while working in the Skills Training Center and the clinics. 
  • Work clothing consists of clinical trousers and a short-sleeved tunic to ensure adequate hand hygiene. 
  • Religious head coverings and surgical caps are considered work clothing and are subject to the same rules as other work clothing.
