About the department

The Department of Health Promotion and Development conducts researches and teaches across a wide range of topics within the disciplines of health promotion, child welfare and global development. The department is involved in the research projects ENGAGED Youth and HBSC

Research

Our research spans from vulnerable children and young people, health promotion and public health, to migration, gender, and global societal challenges. Our vision is to build knowledge that promotes positive conditions for childhood and social justice, both locally and globally.

Work or do research here?

Teaching

We offer Master's degree programmes in Child Welfare Work, Health Promotion and Health Psychology, as well as a Master's degree in Global Development: Theory and Practice. Additionally we have a Continuing and Professional Education Programme (CPE) and contribute to the Ph.d. programme at the faculty.
