Courses at the Department of Biological Sciences (BIO)

Courses offered at BIO, sorted by semester and level. Please note that not all courses are taught in English, and that some courses are only available for programme students at BIO. 100-level courses are introductory courses in Norwegian, mainly for bachelor students. 200-level courses can be taken by both bachelor and master students, while 300-level courses are for master and ph.d. students.

Course Registration

Most of our courses are included in the course admission process. The application deadline is Wednesday in Week 33 (autumn semester) and Wednesday in Week 2 (spring semester).

Attendance at the first lecture or orientation meeting is mandatory. Failure to attend may result in losing your place in the course.
