Allah Bux is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow on the prestigious ERC-funded project, Nonmanual. This project focuses on the study of facial expressions, body movements, and head gestures across five different sign languages using Computer Vision techniques, and advanced statistical analysis.
Research

Dr. Allah Bux Sargano earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Lancaster University, United Kingdom, and brings over 15 years of experience in teaching and research. His expertise lies in the cutting-edge fields of Computer Vision, Image Processing, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. Dr. Sargano’s research encompasses a diverse range of applications, including Human Activity Recognition, Scene Recognition, Sign Language Recognition and Analysis, Facial Emotion Recognition, and advanced Deep Learning techniques for Visual Recognition.

He has an impressive track record of over 30 publications in prestigious international journals and conferences. In addition to his primary academic roles, Dr. Sargano has enriched his research portfolio through collaborations as a visiting researcher at Bournemouth University (UK), the University of Seville (Spain), and the University of Bergen (Norway).

Currently, he is contributing as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to the ERC-funded Sign Language Analysis project, Nonmanual (https://www.uib.no/en/nonmanual), further advancing the frontier of sign language research.
