Short info
Work
I am a genomics engineer with a strong background in genetics, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and data analysis. I earned my PhD in 2015, focusing on the genetic and biological factors underlying psychiatric disorders. My work involved DNA isolation, GWAS analysis, PCR, RT-PCR, sequencing, and bioinformatics, as well as handling large datasets using R and MATLAB.
I am the Core Facility Manager at the Genomics Core Facility at the University of Bergen, being responsible for the day-to-day running of the facility, ensuring efficient laboratory operations, service delivery, and compliance with quality standards. Additionally, I am specialized both in wet lab techniques and data quality control within genomics and next generation sequencing. I perform advanced molecular biology workflows, ensuring high-quality sequencing results, and conducting thorough QC assessments to maintain data integrity. I am highly experienced in troubleshooting experimental challenges, bridging practical laboratory work with robust data analysis.
I am an enthusiastic, organized, and adaptable professional, capable of working independently or collaboratively in dynamic scientific environments. Passionate about genomics, I continuously seek to expand my expertise and contribute to high-impact scientific discoveries.
