Nicole Klenk is an environmental governance scholar with a research program focused on the relationship between science, society, and policy-making.

Environmental governance is an interdisciplinary field of study investigating how state and non-state actors and institutions (e.g., rules, social norms, ideas, and discourses) steer the policy-making process at the strategic and operationa levels, and how different governance arrangements shape how people relate to one another and the environment.

Professor Klenk’s research in this field is both theoretical and applied as well as committed to supporting a plurality of knowledges to inform environmental decision-making.
