I am a PhD candidate affiliated with the project “The Evolution of Cognitive Tools for Quantification” (QUANTA) funded by an ERC Synergy Grant. My research focuses on the diversity of body-based counting systems, particularly finger counting. By applying an interdisciplinary approach, my team investigates why those systems vary so greatly across cultures and what they can tell us about the origin and evolution of number systems.
My academic background covers MSc in Psychology (graduated 2015) and MSc in Human Biology (graduated 2018), both acquired at the University of Wroclaw, Poland. My main scientific activities and interests are related to human ethology and cognition, linguistics, and human behaviour in the virtual environment.
