Research interest:
PhD-project in soscial studies didactis:
- Sociology of Education: Social Reproduction in school and society. Class Inequalities structuration in both micro and macro structures. In what ways cultures of knowlegde and transnational standardization of education affect social class in ordinary day-to day educational and classroom settings.
- Didactics of Social Studies: Social studies subject-specific skills.
- Teacher education: Students professional development and Bildung.
Earlier interests:
- Master thesis in sociology: The meaning of class for socio-political attitudes towards inequalities (Quantitative comparative analysis in SPSS of ISSP-data, using factor- and regression analysis with more)
- Bachelor thesis in sociology: The meaning of socio-economic inequality and class in norwegian general election research (literature analysis)

Teaching
I teach Social Sciences and subject didactics in the teacher education at NLA University College, Bergen (for detalis, se the norwegian page). I have wide experience as teacher at both schol and higher education level. For example master supervision and professional assessment and development of teacher student in practice.
At University of Bergen, I have taught subjects covering The didactics of Social Science and practice subjects in the university´s teacher education. Primarily at the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE - 1 year), offered to students with completed master's degrees. I have also experience as subject manager in a didactic course at the "Master´s programme in Sociology - Teacher Education". I have also experience with grading courses and bachelor- and master's theses.
