What is an in-person exam?
The exam lasts from one to eight hours, but you can hand it in and go home as soon as you are finished. The types of assignments you can get in an exam vary from course to course. In some courses, discussion assignments are common, while in others, multiple choice assignments are more common. The course description may state which type of assignment can be expected in the course you are taking. There are also often examples of previous exam assignments in Mitt UiB.
The course description states how long the exam lasts and what aids you are allowed to bring to the exam.
If you know the course code, you can find the course description at uib.no/en/courses.
