Women’s health across the life course: From the first Google search to quality-assured knowledge is organized by the National Center for Women’s Health Research, Kilden genderresearch.no, and the Norwegian Women’s Public Health Association (Sanitetskvinnene).
Cardiologist and Grieg Foundation Associate Professor Helga Midtbø at the Center for Research on Women’s Heart Disease will participate as a speaker in the session How to translate research into practice: women’s cardiovascular health and in the subsequent panel discussion.
About the event
Where and how do we find reliable and accurate health information today? Many people search online for explanations of symptoms, seek information about menstrual pain, look for advice on sexual health, or try to understand why women often experience different symptoms than men despite having the same diagnosis. At the same time, quality-assured information on women’s health remains fragmented, incomplete, or difficult to access.
To address this need, the Women’s Health Portal (kvinnehelse.no) is currently being developed as a national digital knowledge platform. The portal aims to provide women, family members, researchers, and healthcare professionals with reliable, evidence-based information on women’s health.
