Digitally prepared: What eHealth competence do we need?
In the debate on 13 August, we focus on the type of eHealth competence needed in society. Digital preparedness is not only about technology, but also about people. For individuals to be able to manage their own health—in everyday life, during illness, and in times of crisis—eHealth literacy is essential. The ability to understand, evaluate, and use digital health services influences prevention, self-management, and the quality of rehabilitation.
In this session, academic communities present new knowledge and practical experiences, followed by a panel discussion exploring what is required to strengthen digital health preparedness in Norway. Examples from cardiovascular health and rehabilitation, as well as from individuals with varying functional abilities, illustrate why this is one of today’s key public health priorities. Professor Tone M. Norekvål will introduce the discussion.
