Anniversary Seminar: Nordterm 50 Years and EAFT 30 Years
In 2026, Nordterm, the Nordic terminology organisation, celebrates its 50th anniversary, while EAFT, the European Association for Terminology, marks 30 years. Together with Nordterm and EAFT, the Centre for Norwegian Professional Language and Termportalen wish to commemorate these milestones with a full-day event on Friday, 4 September 2026.
The overall theme of the seminar is "Linguistic Sustainability and Preparedness" and it will be arranged in collaboration with Nordterm (external link) and EAFT (external link). The programme will include various presentations on this topic, celebrations of the anniversaries, and social activities.
The anniversary seminar will be co-located with NeoTerm 2026, the second workshop on the management of terminological neologisms (external link). NeoTerm will be held on 3 September by the ENEOLI COST Action in collaboration with the Centre for Norwegian Professional Language.
