Mål og innhald

The HMS/introduction course for the risograph workshop will give you a basic understanding of what risography is and how the machine works. You will learn basic techniques for the prepress process, and how to color-separate and prepare your digital files to be able to print your artworks by yourself. Together we will make one duotone A3 print using the scanner function, as well as a faux CMYK print. During this process you will learn how to operate the machine, make master-stencils and how to deal with certain hiccups that might occur in the printing process.

What to bring to the workshop:

  1. A notepad and a camera/phone.
  2. Something to print in the scanner, A4 size or smaller (e.g. drawing or photograph).
  3. An A5 full color digital file (e.g. and illustration or a photograph).
  4. Your student identification card.

Please show up on time.

To get access to the risograph workshop you will need to schedule a two-hour session for printing by yourself with assistance from the technician or the student assistants, in addition to completing this HMS-/Introduction workshop. You will then also get a short introduction to A2 risograph. Short introductions to the folding machine, table-stand stapler and buttons machine is provided on request.
