Course description
Objectives and Content
The aim is to provide an insight into construction (including load-bearing structures), building technology, regulations, but also focus on architectural and visual qualities and functional conditions.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of the subject the student should have the following learning outcomes defined in terms of knowledge, skills, and general competence:
Knowledge:
- The student can understand building engineering principles, fire safety and universal design and how to use the knowledge in actual projects
Skills:
- The student can use the knowledge in construction that involves technical solutions in connection with ex. floor plans, universal design, and fire requirements
General competence:
- The student must be able to carry out tasks that involve technical solutions in collaboration with other disciplines
