Course description
Objectives and Content
The students have shared responsibility for producing the master¿s exhibition.
The degree show is a public exhibition of the students¿ works.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of the subject the student should have the following learning outcomes defined in terms of knowledge, skills, and general competence:
Knowledge:
- Identify the needs of stakeholders and suggest solutions for design situations, based on insight into their various needs
- Illuminate and interpret current social and political issues through own work
Skills:
- Articulate, verbally and visually, design practice intentions, values, and opinions to different stakeholders, also outside their own area of expertise
- Develop, execute, and communicate major, independent design projects
- Initiate and lead complex design processes
- Apply knowledge from research and theory in own work
General competence:
- Communicate and interact effectively with others in development processes, within and outside their own field of study
- Critically evaluate their own progress and renew their own learning strategies
- Link design challenges to current social and political issues
- Work methodically and experimentally in design processes

Teaching and learning methods
The students participate actively in the planning, production, design, and dissemination of the master¿s projects.
Teaching and learning methods in this course could consist of project work, tutoring, seminars, workshops, group work, and field work.
Academic supervision in this course takes place in individual guidance talks, coursework, and in groups where the students also receive feedback from their fellow students.

Forms of Assessment
The master¿s program concludes with an examination in the fourth semester. During the examination assessment, students are evaluated based on the learning outcomes established for Design practice 4 and associated assessment criteria for the examination.
In this subject the following forms of assessment will be used:
Assessment, including:
- Master's project: Written and visual documentation of process and results. Min. 10¿000 ¿ max. 30¿000 words
- Master's project: Oral examination of the practical process and results
