Work

I'm a PhD candidate in the trans-disciplinary BIOSPHERE project, associated with the UNESCO Chair at UiB. My background is in plant ecology and my main research interests include the effects of climate change and land-use on plant communities and ecosystem functioning.

In the course of my PhD, I will be working to identify and analyse the rate and the direction of land-use change in the UNESCO Nordhordland Biosphere area in the past 50 years. To uncover the effects of land-use change on biodiversity, ecosystem services and landscape multifunctionality, I, along with a transdisciplinary team of experts, will be resampling the sites from the Lindås project (1971-1976). Our goal with the project is to gain knowledge that will aid in promoting cross-sectoral cooperation and creating sustainable land-use practices in Norway.
