Research at the faculty

The Faculty of Medicine (MED) covers a wide range of research fields. We host, among other things, a Center of Excellence (SFF), the Bergen Center for Ethics and Priority Setting (B.CEPS), and two K. G. Jebsen Centers for Research on Parkinson's Disease and Myeloid Leukemia.

The Faculty is visible on the international research front, and contributes to the renewal of the knowledge base in disease understanding, prevention, diagnostics and treatment, with the goal of better health and living conditions for people all over the world.

Medical research requires advanced and up-to-date infrastructure, and is necessary for excellent research and innovation. The Faculty's research infrastructure is organized into several core facilities.
