In celebration of the University of Bergen’s (UiB) 75th anniversary, the Center for Research on Heart Disease in Women invites you to a panel debate.

To mark the 75th anniversary of the University of Bergen (UiB), the Center for Research on Heart Disease in Women invites you to a panel debate at the Women's Health House in Bergen.
The evening’s topic is gender equality at the university. Although the majority of students are women, only 30% of professors are female. What does this mean for research on women, and perhaps more importantly, what is actually taught about women’s health in professional education programs?

The debate will begin with three short presentations, followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A.
The event is free and open to all.

Moderators:
Helga Midtbø, Senior Researcher at the Center for Research on Heart Disease in Women, UiB
Helén Botnevik, Chair of Bergen Women's Health Association

Panel and speakers:

  • Rector Margareth Hagen, Rector of UiB:
Gender equality in academia – a Bergen and international perspective through 75 years
  • Professor Nina Øyen, Chair of the Heart Fund Council, UiB:
Research on women’s heart health – why a dedicated center?
  • Professor Eva Gerdts, Head of the Center for Research on Heart Disease in Women, UiB:
