Diversity of Heterobranchia gastropods in Norway with a focus on poorly known groups and habitats

The diversity of “lower” Heterobranchia and Pyramidelloidea gastropods is globally poorly understood and Norway is no exception. Nine families of these molluscs are cited in Norway, but their small size and similar shells pose enormous challenges when it comes to delimit species and understand their taxonomy. During this project these gastropods will be for the first time studied based on an integrative approach combining, DNA barcoding, phylogenetics, shell characters, and anatomy.
