Course description
Objectives and Content
This course is a framework for investigation of specific topics within Artistic Research.
The course introduces the student to the term artistic research and its relation to design. The course gives an overview of the topic´s development, traditions and context.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of the subject the student should have the following learning outcomes defined in terms of knowledge, skills, and general competence:
Knowledge:
- Understanding of artistic research process and practice
- Understand the context of their own artistic research project
- Knowledge about specific artistic research topics
Skills:
- Ability to cooperate on special artistic research topics
- Specialized ability in artistic research practice within a specific topic
General Competence:
- Be able to develop understanding and communicate own project in relation to existing research
- Work in a collaborative environment with supervisor and partners
