Objectives and Content
JAM offers the opportunity to expand the senses by thinking about images musically and sound visually, giving fine art students the opportunity to develop a stop motion film in direct cooperation with students from music composition and design.
This collaboration is to be understood as an enrichment of one’s own creative work, in which the question arises: What comes first -- the sound or the image, or both at the same time? This is left up to the interdisciplinary working groups through a joint working process. The common denominator for all participants is time; creating a chain of images or notations, which are then experienced as dramaturgy in the playback.
The module is accompanied by a series of screenings, workshop, presentations, and individual/group tutorials, and provides the opportunity to experiment in the video lab. The individual working groups decide which topic/material they want to focus on, both musically and artistically.
