With support from partners such as the Trond Mohn Research Foundation, the Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Foundation and the Norwegian Cancer Society, our researchers can pursue ambitious projects that would otherwise not be possible.

Trond Mohn Research Foundation
The foundation is Norway's largest private contributor to research, and has since 2004 supported UiB with over two billion Norwegian kroner. The foundation funds the Trond Mohn Centre for Excellent Research, among other initiatives, as well as Starting Grants for promising researchers.
K.G. Jebsen Centres for Medical Research
Six K.G. Jebsen Centres for medical research have been established at UiB, along with one centre for deep-sea research. Support from the foundation has been crucial for breakthroughs in diabetes, cancer and neuroscience.
The Norwegian Cancer Society
Through long-term collaboration, the Norwegian Cancer Society supports several research groups at UiB working on new treatments and early cancer diagnostics.
