Organisation
The division is led by Kathrine Brosvik Thorsen. The division is organized into the following sections and units:
Section for employer policy and strategy
The section has the overall and coordinating responsibility for developing and following up strategy, policies and rules related to UiB's employer policy and practice. The section advises and assists managers in the HR field and is headed by Jan Frode Knarvik.

Section for HR Joint Services
HR Joint Service work with leadership support, consulting, and case processing within HR and Records and system management. The section is also responsible for developing framework and routines, streamlining processes, and working on digitalization within recruitment, personnel administration, and archive.
Head of Section for HR Joint Services is Janne Marie Solheimslid.
The section is divided into the following professional groups:

Section for working environment and organizational development
The section for working environment and organizational development is divided into three teams:
- HSE and preparedness
- Career and competence
- Organizational development
Records and system management
The subject group is under the HR department and is led by Terje Askvik.
The group for documentation and system management has the coordinated archive function for UiB, including the central administration, faculties and the University Library.
The subject group for documentation and system management takes care of the archive function for UiB, including the joint administration, the faculties, the University Museum in Bergen and the University Library. The subject group manages the case archive system ephorte/Elements and UiB's paper archives from 1946.
