Other strategic alignment
Alongside the procurement strategy, UiB’s principles for sustainable procurement practices outline how the university works to halt, prevent, and reduce negative impacts from purchasing on people, animals, society, and the environment. Furthermore, the principles describe the requirements regarding sustainable business practices that UiB imposes on its suppliers. As a member of Ethical Trade Norway, UiB submits an annual report on its work regarding due diligence and ethical trade. This report can be downloaded via the link below.
UiB has also adopted ethical guidelines for purchasing and the procurement process to ensure trust, prevent unethical behavior, and reduce the risk of corruption associated with procurements. Employees or suppliers with questions regarding these principles are asked to contact the Procurement Section.
