Access to the Course
The course is open to all with admission to the Master's program in German at the University of Bergen.
Teaching and learning methods
The classes are a combination of lecture and seminar, in which students are expected to participate actively.
Forms of Assessment
The exam is a one week take-home exam, 3000-4000 words (not including table of content, bibliograpghy etc.) and an oral exam (duration: approx. 30 minutes). The oral exam is a presentation on a self-chosen topic within the curricula of the course, but the home-exam and the rest of the readling list can also be part of the oral. The home-exam counts 60% and the oral 40% of the final grade.
Exam questions are based on exercises and activities done during lectures/seminars and for compulsory activies as well as other content connected to both.
Grading Scale
The grading scale A-F is used, where F is a fail.
Course Evaluation
The teaching is evaluated according to the quality assurance system of the University of Bergen.
