About the department
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Bergen conducts research and provides education in chemistry for sustainability, energy, and the life sciences. It is a leading academic environment in Norway, with state-of-the-art laboratories in the Science Building (Realfagbygget).
Research
Our research spans from molecular life sciences to energy and sustainable production. We have strong expertise in catalysis, bioactive molecules, marine chemistry, and advanced NMR analysis.
