The Department of Geosciences is one of Europe's largest geoscientific communities, with four research groups, 170 researchers and fellows, and 26 laboratories.
We conduct research on the Earth's interior and surface – from climate, paleoclimate and geohazards to energy, resources and the deep sea, organized into four thematic research groups.
The department offers bachelor's and master's degrees in geosciences, with studies in geology, geophysics and geosciences, and computer science. The programs have a close connection between teaching, fieldwork, and research.
