I research and teach about factors promoting effective language learning and teaching. I am particularly interested in teachers' professional development, motivation, and the effects of knowing multiple languages (multilingualism).
I am also passionate about ensuring high-quality PhD education.

Teaching

I teach German language pedagogy at all levels in the teacher education program and in the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). I supervise master’s students and PhD candidates on topics related to language pedagogy.
