Research

I'm a postdoctoral researcher working in biodiversity genomics, comparative genomics, and evolutionary biology.

I have two major projects that I'm currently involved in: EBP-Nor and MarmaDetox

The Earth Biogenome Project Norway (EBP-Nor) aims to sequence and provide genomes for all eukaryotic species in Norway. In this project, I am involved in developing workflows for the generation and annotation of genomes of the many species we sampled. More info about EBP-Nor: https://www.ebpnor.org/

The MarmaDetox project aims to decode marine mammal toxicology through in vitro and in silico approaches. I am currently working on a comparative analysis of genes involved in chemical defense between different marine mammals and their close relatives. More info about MarmaDetox: https://www4.uib.no/en/research/research-projects/marma-detox
