Research
Since 2011, she has worked across Asia and Europe as a music therapist, lecturer, and musician. Grounded in cross-cultural experience, her work emphasizes compassion, cultural responsiveness, and a humanistic approach.
Her research interests encompass mental health, cultural dynamics, spirituality, and professional development. Currently, she is conducting a participatory action research project in close collaboration with students, focused on fostering self-care within music therapy education.
Clinically, she has worked extensively in early intervention, elderly care, and mental health settings. She supports individuals facing psychosocial and developmental challenges, such as selective mutism, visual impairment, refugee experiences, and dementia.
In her teaching, she focuses on student empowerment by integrating theory, practical skills, and interdisciplinary methods to promote holistic and reflective learning.
Outreach
Apart from her current work in Norway, she has collaborated with social welfare organizations, universities, and governmental institutions, serving diverse populations—including children, adults, and the elderly with psychosocial and developmental challenges—in places such as Singapore, the Thailand–Myanmar border, and the UK. She offers therapeutic services and shares her knowledge through lectures and training for both related professionals and the public.
In addition, during her time as a freelancer, she organized international conferences and led workshops involving students and professionals from diverse fields, fostering practical learning and a sense of social responsibility. Through these meaningful efforts, she is dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and supporting holistic well-being across diverse cultural contexts.
