Research
Ivar Stefansson is a researcher in the Porous Media Group and the Vista Center for Modeling of Coupled Subsurface Dynamic at the Department of Mathematics. His research is related to development and implementation of numerical methods and simulation technology for fractured porous media. These methods help us understanding subsurface processes such as extraction of geothermal energy. Ivar is also one of the core developers of the PorePy simulation toolbox.
