Kamal Mustafa and the group have executed several clinical and pre-clinical projects within regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, aiming to address the shortage of tissues available for repair and regeneration and to use mesenchymal stem cells as regenerative therapeutic innovative approach.
Research

The Tissue Engineering Research Group is proposing an innovative alternative to tissue/organ grafting, namely a regenerative engineering therapeutic approach using stem cells and Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs). Our mission is to promote stem cell-based tissue engineering strategies into a standard treatment offered to patients.
