My main research interests are gender, sexuality and intimacy in the past and present, and I have empirically investigated various fields of non-normative lives. 

Currently my main focus is the history of sexuality and queer history in a broad sense. 

I am currently involved in the research project NordiQueer – A Nordic Queer Revolution? 

And I am the project leader for the project QUEERDOM | Department of Archaeology, History, Cultural Studies and Religion | UiB, where we are researching queer domesticities and intimacies in Norway 1842–1972.
