Short info

My role is equally divided between two interdisciplinary initiatives: the Habitable Air research project and the Global Research Programme on Inequality (GRIP).
Research

Habitable Air Project: Urban Inequality in the Time of Climate Change

  • Manage research administration for the NOK 11.8 million Research Council of Norway-funded initiative.
  • Project manage the initiative exploring the critical relationship between urban inequality, political divisions, air pollution, global warming, and climate change.
  • Develop protocols and support services for field researchers in South Africa, Germany, and the United States to ensure high-quality, timely completion of research activities within budget.

Global Research Programme on Inequality (GRIP)

  • Lead the development of communication strategies, manage outreach efforts, and engage with stakeholders both internal and external to the University.
  • Collaborate with the International Science Council and partner institutions, including the global affiliate network, to address rising inequalities in all world regions through a commitment to epistemological openness, methodological diversity, and the co-production of knowledge.
Outreach

I led the Habitable Air project team to the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) to present results from a multi-country study. In collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we co-hosted a side event that brought together governments, private sector companies, and communities. This event culminated in the creation of three policy briefs, for which I was the lead author. Additionally, I represented the project in Brussels, addressing EU policymakers in November 2024.

Teaching

Guest Lecture on the CET201 course on Sustainable Innovation. I helped the students explore GRIP's six dimensions of inequality and their profound impact on the innovation journey, urging them to embrace inclusivity and equity as fundamental pillars of progress.
