Short info

My research examines how childhood growth relates to biological mechanisms that support healthy development from birth to adulthood. I study these links by integrating genetic data with anthropometric measures using bioinformatic methods.
Research

I am a Ph.D. candidate focused on understanding the genetic foundations of early childhood growth and how these factors are linked to obesity and type 2 diabetes. More broadly, my work examines how genetic variation contributes to disease risk using approaches such as genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and polygenic risk scores (PRS), based on data from the Norwegian Mother, Father and Child Cohort Study (MoBa). I aim to further connect genetic findings with biological mechanisms through in silico enrichment analyses.

I hold an MSc in Molecular Biology with a minor in Genomics and Systems Biology, and before starting my Ph.D., I spent three years in the private sector as a research assistant, where I strengthened my expertise in molecular biology techniques.

I enjoy taking on new projects and collaborating with diverse teams, as these experiences help me grow both professionally and personally.
