Alois Pichler is professor in philosophy at the Department of Philosophy and head of the Wittgenstein Archives at the University of Bergen (WAB, http://wab.uib.no/). His research has a particular focus on Wittgenstein's work and philosophy, digital editorial philology, writing and text theory, document ontology, Digital humanities and philosophy of religion. Outreach
Teaching

At the University of Bergen, Alois Pichler mainly gives classes in Examen Philosophicum and Wittgenstein’s philosophy. He has had a number of Erasmus and summer school teaching assignments in Bulgaria, Germany, Italy and Poland. In April 2017, he has been a guest professor at the University of Innsbruck and taught there classes in Wittgenstein, digital editorial philology and text theory / ontology. In January 2022, he has been a guest professor at the University of Innsbruck and taught there a class on Wittgenstein.
