I study large-scale atmospheric circulation over Eurasia and its coupling with the cryosphere and land surface, focusing on the Arctic and the Tibetan Plateau.
Research

My research interests include:

  • Arctic–midlatitude dynamical linkages and jet stream variability
  • Land–atmosphere interactions and the persistence of regional climate anomalies
  • Nonlinear circulation responses to climate forcing
  • Hierarchical modeling and dynamical mechanism attribution
  • Proxy-constrained variability in the Arctic and High Mountain Asia
