Short info

Certified physician and researcher on autoimmune myasthenia gravis.
My special interests include neuroimmunology, pharmacoepidemiology, and reproductive health.
I graduated as MD from Helsinki University in 2016 and have gained clinical experience from Norway and Finland, neurology and pediatrics.

Research

My PhD work at the University of Bergen focuses on myasthenia gravis in women of childbearing age, consequences of disease-specific autoantibodies and pharmacotherapy for pregnancy, delivery, and the child. In this work I am supervised by professor Marte Helene Bjørk, professor Nils Erik Gilhus, professor Jana Midelfart Hoff (all of them specialists in neurology at Haukeland University Hospital), as well as Jaqueline M. Cohen, senior researcher at the Norwegian National Institute of Public Health and Centre for Fertility and Health, where I am also affiliated. We use epidemiological methods and Nordic health registries with the aim of finding safer treatments for females with myasthenia gravis of childbearing age.
