Short info
I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Social Psychology, researching problematic use and addiction to gambling and video games. I also teach various psychology courses at the bachelor's level and supervising bachelor's and master's projects.
Research
My Ph.D. project is called 'Suicidality Among Problem Gamblers (SAGA)'
The Ph.D. project will investigate the relationship between gambling problems and suicidal behavior (suicidal ideation, -attempts, and death by suicide).
The methodological approaches of the project includes (1) a meta-analysis, (2) a registry study linking the Norwegian Patient Register (NPR) with the Cause of Death Register, and (3) a qualitative interview study among people with gambling problems who have experienced suicidality.
