My work explores learning, assessment and professional formation through ecological and relational perspectives. Learning is understood as emerging through interactions between people, knowledge, practices, technology, institutions and environments.

Particular interests include learning and assessment design, professional judgement, and how learning ecologies can create spaces of possibility for participation, development and professional becoming. This also opens towards questions of health and sustainability, and how health professions develop in response to societal and planetary changes.

My engagement includes living labs, lectures, workshops, conferences and scholarly conversations across education, professional practice, health and society.

A particular interest lies in creating spaces for dialogue and collaborative inquiry into how knowledge and practices develop, and how health professions can engage with societal, technological and ecological changes.

Teaching, coaching and educational development are grounded in an understanding of learning as an active, relational and ecological process. Learning and assessment design involves creating conditions for inquiry, action, collaboration, feedback and reflection, individually and with others.

Professional formation and professional judgement develop through participation in learning ecologies in which people, knowledge, practices, technology and environments interact.
