Short info

I am a PhD candidate at the Centre for Elderly and Nursing Home Medicine (SEFAS), where I research older adults and technology, with a focus on sleep and circadian rhythms. My PhD is part of CC.AGE, in which we are developing a digital sleep and circadian intervention for home-dwelling older adults.

Research

I work mainly with quantitative methods but also use qualitative approaches, including interviews with the older adults who will use the intervention.

I have previously developed and tested an algorithm that uses wristband data to support assesments of REM sleep behaviour disorder in people with Parkinson's disease. I am also working on a secondary analysis of a large Norwegian randomised trial of digital cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia, focusing on participants aged 65 and over.

I am interested in making digital solutions accessible and suited to older users, and in how digital health tools can help meet future health challenges.

Alongside my research, I teach and supervise master's students and coordinate a master's course in academic writing.
