Work
Mahima Gomladu is a Senior Bioinformatics Specialist at the Genomics Core Facility, University of Bergen (UiB). Her work focuses on developing reproducible computational frameworks for the analysis and interpretation of high-throughput biological data, supporting research across genomics, transcriptomics, functional genomics, systems biology, and precision medicine. She collaborates with multidisciplinary research groups to translate complex sequencing data into biologically meaningful insights, contributing from study design and computational analysis to statistical interpretation and biological discovery.
Her research interests include integrative multi-omics analysis, genome and transcriptome analysis, biological network modelling, knowledge graphs for life sciences, AI-assisted biological data interpretation, and the development of scalable computational methodologies for modern biomedical research. She is particularly interested in advancing approaches that improve the integration, interpretation, and reproducibility of complex biological datasets while supporting data-driven hypothesis generation and translational research.
Mahima is a Nextflow Ambassador and actively contributes to the development of reproducible bioinformatics workflows and best practices for computational life sciences. She collaborates with ELIXIR Norway and researchers across the Norwegian life science community, including the University of Oslo, to promote FAIR data principles, interoperable research infrastructures, and open, reproducible computational science that accelerates biological and biomedical research.
