Short info

I am interested in the teaching of controversial issues in upper and tertiary education. Specifically, I'm interested in the beliefs, experiences, and approaches of English language teachers who welcome such issues. .
Work

My work focuses on why controversy and polarization arise around various issues, what adolescents can learn from disagreement, and the particular strategies teachers use when teaching controversial issues. 

I am also interested in science communication and dissemination of research on social media, in the media and through popular-scientific events. I have previously worked as a science communicator.

Teaching

I mainly teach courses in English didactics, both on the 200 and 300 level.

Previously I have taught introduction to English studies, academic writing, and source referencing.

Projects

I have been involved in several externally funded project initiatives, such as an Center of Excellence application focusing on reading as a human experience. Here, I have been involved in shaping the educational work package.
