My research centers on system dynamics modeling and analysis of state, national, and regional policies, emphasizing socioeconomic development and ecological conservation. I explore how various policy measures and strategies can influence both economic growth and environmental sustainability, with the aim of discovering integrated solutions that promote balanced development. Utilizing computational and behavioral development economics, as well as other pertinent social theories, I delve into the interaction between humans and nature and its impact on the dynamics of social, economic, political, and ecological systems. This exploration addresses critical challenges such as biodiversity loss, poverty, and inequality. The insights gained from my research can guide us in re-engineering these systems in a way that minimizes the unintended consequences of our decisions and actions, thereby achieving more sustainable outcomes.
