Research

Dr. Yamada's research explores the regeneration of oral and craniofacial tissues by integrating advanced bioengineering, epigenetic stem cell regulation, craniofacial developmental processes, and multi-omics approaches.

Outreach

He is also recognized as a science communicator through his expertise in microscopic artwork, with his work widely covered by mass media, magazines, museum art exhibition, and newspapers worldwide, including Nature Portfolio (November 2023, February 2024, February 2025, January 2026), Bioteknologirådet (NO), Forskning & Framsteg (SE) and the Natural History Museum in Bergen.

Teaching

Shuntaro Yamada's teaching focuses on craniofacial development and regenerative dentistry. Having completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (University of Liverpool, UK) and being awarded FHEA by Advance HE (UK), he integrates cutting-edge research into his lectures, emphasizing critical thinking, student engagement, and inclusivity.

Dr. Yamada currently delivers lectures in:
