Working out as a student

As a student at the University of Bergen, you have many opportunities to exercise and participate in various physical activities.

Work out at Sammen

The Student Welfare Organisation (Sammen) has many centres located around Bergen, including the Student Centre and Fantoft. You can go to group classes such as yoga, zumba and spinning. You can also do strength training, e-sports, swimming and much more. You can become a member at a reasonable price.

Join a student organization!

Bergen is a well-known student city with a lot to offer! UiB has several organizations and associations you can join. Many of them are low-threshold and do not require previous experience. Maybe you want to try your hand at lacrosse, bouldering, basketball or revive your career in football?

The Seven Mountains

We are lucky to have our campus surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Bergen. Most centrally, you can go for a walk up Fløyen, Ulriken or Sandviksfjellet. If you want to try your hand at the other mountains, it is just a short bus ride to, for example, Løvstakken.
