Research at the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design

The Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design (KMD) engages in both artistic and scientific research. The majority of the research is artistic, but the faculty also conducts a considerable amount of scientific research in the fields of music therapy, musicology and music pedagogy.

Research at the faculty

The faculty combines artistic development work and scientific research in contemporary visual art, music and design. The faculty is an arena for professional specialization, interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation – with projects ranging from artistic development work at the three departments to scientific research in music therapy, musicology and music pedagogy. Activities at KMD include exhibitions, concerts, performance, publications, research projects and research-based teaching.
